Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

All potential cases must be discussed with a member of Public Health.

SARS-CoV-2 activity has increased significantly in the EU in recent days, leading to a significant demand for testing at NVRL.

In addition, the Irish case definition has expanded to include Hong Kong, Iran, Italy (the four northern regions of Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Piedmont, and Veneto), Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.  As such, demand could well increase further in the coming days and weeks.

The NVRL will increase the frequency of testing in line with demand, but to assist us in providing as efficient a service as possible, please continue to package and send samples for SARS CoV 2 testing separately. (The testing strategy is under review pending demand).

Samples must be readily identifiable for SARS-CoV-2 on arrival at the NVRL.
