CN-21-7: Customer Notification – Shortage of Aptima Combo 2® Kits

Important Notification to NVRL Users of Current Shortage in Aptima Combo 2® kits – week beginning 22^nd March 2021 for Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoea (NG) testing.

Regrettably NVRL has to inform our users that we currently have no testing capacity for CT/NG using the Aptima Combo 2® kit. This is as a result of ongoing Brexit-related supply chain problems. Orders for these kits have not been fulfilled by Hologic® and this means that NVRL cannot provide CT/NG testing from 22^nd March until supplies are received. Delays to some patient results are inevitable.

NVRL sincerely hopes that full service will be resumed in the shortest time frame possible. NVRL is committed to fulfilling our promise to deliver a quality driven service to our users.
